Judoka Smasher

Sporting records across four different combat sports, Olympic Judoka, Satoshi Ishii is, by definition, one of the most seasoned and well-rounded fighters on the planet. His title as an Olympian speaks volumes by itself but then you look at the rest of the picture and realize that’s only one layer on this artist’s canvas, A BJJ black under the legendary Yuki Nakai and trained extensively in Catch wrestling by Josh Barnett, he’s also a key member of Team Cro Cop and taken as an apprentice to Mirko in kickboxing, where he currently stands undefeated. Now living part-time in Austin, TX training with John Danaher and Gordon Ryan, one can’t help but be in awe of Satoshi’s martial arts journey.

Film & TV Services

Still an active competitor in MMA and no-gi submission grappling, it’s evident the steps Satoshi has taken thus far have improved every aspect of his game and he is ever-evolving. As his fighting days come to an end, he’s shifting focus to a career in film and television, working as an actor, stunt performer and fight consultant. Most recently he played fellow Japanese MMA legend, Enson Inoue in Barry Safdie’s, The Smashing Machine, where he also serves as a stunt performer. He’s currently attached to various other big projects yet to be announced, and looking to expand his growing resume even further.
